Happy Virgo New Moon

We maneuvered through some tricky astrology in August. Many Mercury Retrograde riddles and realizations whipped us around, and thankfully - this Virgo New Moon helps reel it in. With Mercury now direct and Venus in Libra, some puzzles get solved, some decisions finally match up. And if not, resist wrestling with those problems that keep turning down your solutions. Often times, its not about getting rid of our problems but tackling the right ones at the right time, or as James Hillman says: "Problems have the magnet power of love: somehow we desire our problems; we are in love with them much as we want to get rid of them . . . Problems sustain us -- maybe that's why they don't go away. What would a life be without them? Completely tranquilized and loveless . . . there is a secret love hiding in each problem." This is a longwinded way of me asking you to choose your battles wisely, eliminate dilemmas that drain you and step up for the ones that are receptive to your unique skills and talents, the ones with the magnet power of love hiding in them.

A Virgo moon is also a good time to recommit to those rituals that bolster your well-being. Consider the delicate daily routines and community activities that give you a sense of structure. There is a longer alchemical process that awaits us with eclipse season Sept 17-Oct 2. Plus, Mars is starting to think about going retrograde and Pluto dips back into Capricorn tonight. I can't say that the rest of the year becomes less complicated, in fact, the opposite. Yet, let's presume that the insights we have gained up until now have readied us, both strengthened and softened the heart so that more false versions of ourselves can fall away.
