TAURUS FULL MOON ECLIPSE HOROSCOPES
November 6, 2022
Sister Bride
The Taurus moon is growing full, and it's a total lunar eclipse .. !
officially, Tuesday Nov 8th at 3:02am Pacific
If you're feeling a little rickety, you're in the right place - this is a chaotic election day eclipse....in both political and personal ways this full moon is a dramatic stress-test, revealing what is not sustainable.
Eclipses uncover hidden truths, they speed things up, push us through portals of necessary change. In Taurus, we may be realizing that a certain habit or source of comfort is not feeding us anymore...that we hunger for a new status quo. ..ask yourself: what false sense of security has outgrown its usefulness, keeps you hidden, betrays your heart, holds you back from living the truth of your values ? Decide what really matters and make adjustments... The caveat here is that Taurus clings to the familiar and is slow to change - and so these shifts may feel awkward. Often, change means moving through fear and I encourage you to trust the discomfort, I encourage you to trust the unknown and let go of what is not working . Take your Taurus time...whatever realizations or events that happen during eclipses can unfold for weeks or months...especially with Mars being retrograde until Jan 12** .
This moon also happens to trigger the Uranus and Saturn clash that we've been holding since 2020, pulling in the longterm collective struggle with revolution vs. resistance. In our personal lives, we may clearly see what needs to change, yet it may take extra effort. Consider themes that came up for you during the last eclipse season at the end of April-early May 2022. A build up of truth has been culminating, asking us to challenge an old convenient habit in order to live more honestly.
Eclipses can be an intense slew of downloads and sudden information, and so please be gentle and take it easy these next few days. The important thing to do right now is admit the truth (and vote) and give yourself space to integrate it. If you're going to dig your heels into a new standard of living, swivel first into the root of the matter.
Easy to get lost in the 'what ifs', easy to regret and wonder if something was worth it. But what if you don’t know what you don’t know. To wish something went another way is a message from your value system - reminders of the best version of yourself you aspire to be. When we know our values, we can know whats worth risking or avoiding...sometimes you pay for everyones drinks because you value relationships more than money. Sometimes you turn down a free drink, because you value your health...as Amy Poehler notes... "the question you have to ask yourself is: How do you want to fail ?" Let your value system help you choose your battles.
Our psyche is a little city, and we love our familiar haunts…the coffee shop anxiety, the erotic undertones at the mall, the gas station we fuel our fear. When the school house burns down, we wake up with a headache, a mysterious cough. The psyche speaks to us through the body, a surge of emotion, a primal shake...like a baby with no words yet - are you hungry or are you tired ? May you enter the village of yourself and find out. May you cross borders in your deeper being and build new infrastructure. May you recognize where your personal routes collide with collective pain, trauma, joy and every Hollywood movie that’s ever been made. When we commit to the mysteries of our subconscious debris, we commit to cleaning the streets of humanity.
There's a reason why all Oscar speeches are an endless list of thank you's to mom and makeup and supernatural support. Like sedimentary layers of rock, we crush each other into shapes and make mountains. Whoever gets to howl at the top may feel like a self-made supergod, but mountains don’t care who gets credit…mountains just want layers of integrity - it just wants sand to become sandstone, mud to become mudstone, animal skeletons and plant pieces to be fossils. You are everything history has needed you to be. You are everything the future is needing you to be. When you dare to do something great, all the particles of the universe and all the people who understand the struggle will press into you and help you stamp your fossil.
Some say they are not creative, gag at the smell of playdough, lose their inner-kid somewhere in a crowded mall. Our adult bodies dry up like glue, shoulders tightening around capital and productivity. But being creative isn't really about being a kid, it's about risk. All creativity rises up to take a risk, to break something off…like a volcano or earthquake...stagnant energy has things inside of it that it needs to get rid of in order to renew. To say “I am not creative” is to say, I resist the urge to renew. It is possible to be an agent of chaos and have important work to do in the world. It is possible to keep your elbows off the table while penetrating the unknown. All lava forms new rock.
Apparently, we function best with a lot of water…and green things…also, sun in the eyes…or some kind of impersonating supplement tray. Even still, under a barrage of mixed messages and empty “all naturals”, no one really has a baseline for health anymore. The strongest, most adept sailors get 4 hours of sleep, some smokers live long lives. In due time exercise is placebo and slapping cheese across your face keeps you young. Notice where guidelines help…or…make things worse. Shake out your calendar, crumple your menus, punch a new co-worker in the arm...any new muscle test will do. Let yourself clean the slate of all the total fat, cholesterol and sodium and ask the greatest expert: your own felt aliveness.
We make the maneuvers to show the world our skills and then all of sudden, question its impact - oh woe, the academic weight, the genre, the history of everything that's ever been said. The cure for imposter syndrome isn’t more and more measuring of your context within the system, it is the guts of your subjective world, it is the pit of your autobiography…it is the nonchalant wisdom of a double great grandma or the way a parent made soup from scratch. You have absorbed and suffered this world in your own private ways, you have tasted life and no one has a tongue like you. When we speak from our own personal experience and feelings, there is no one and nothing that can deny it. You are the expert on your corner of the world.
Walking away from an interaction we wonder… who was that ?...this version of myself I presented ? ...it’s as if we are more than one person. The ego and some agent of chaos - a trickster who is bored, who is onto something more, something that is tired of hiding, surviving, saving face. Wake up, wake up, the world has forgotten how to marvel at things. Consider the word “awe.” Awe holds both wonder and fear inside of it. To be in “awe” is to respect something so much that it sorta scares the shit out of you, like standing over the edge of Niagara Falls. Awe is a boundary maker -- it shows us what the appropriate distance we need to take from a thing in order to enjoy its wonder. Be in wonder, be in awe of who you are becoming…inch up to your new edges.
In our longing for belonging, we all squeeze tight when we meet. We all chew at the bone of pleasure and peace until the last live-stream croaks and we gather and sing and drift off into the bushes. We quit our jobs in flamboyant ways, hang a banner, blow a tuba and scream “I go where I am real, I go where things matter, I go where I get human touch !” Find what is most sovereign in you, what is most hot with electricity and plug this power into your people. If you’re ever afraid, bond. If you ever wanna find your true self, bond. If you ever want to accomplish anything, find out what others are needing and bond. Your isolation will not protect you - what you need is a living, breathing human shield.
When we speak, we show people what rules our life. What is it like inside your kingdom ? How do you express this decree? … *let there be light*....let there be a moan, let there be a punch in the face or a blink twice for ‘yes’. Familiarity is not truth, repetition is not truth, nothing in this horoscope is accurate. Truth is empirically yours. Truth is you running into the streets seeing that an air conditioner dripping on the sidewalk doesn’t mean it’s raining outside. Settle into your own lived proof of things…beyond any hot topic or ancient text. In your hands are the hands of every human who has ever altered a guardrail to let there be more light.
The only way to avoid grief is to not care about anyone or anything (good luck). Grief is proof of our devotions, of our ability to bond. Which is why grief is almost closer to desire than it is to sadness. Grief clings just like bonding does....it is a motivating state...though unlike bonding, grief craves and yearns for something just out of its reach. Our brain has receptors for seeing a paper weight on a table and also receptors for when the paper weight is gone. How might you learn to sever yourself from old expectations, to let that dusty manuscript fly off into the wind. It is possible to honor old attachments and also uncouple them from the new ones. Yearn for what is here and now…yearn for what you can reach for.
These days, what makes each person an individual is their style of faking things. We come together to trick each other, sit around and fight to convince the world we are worthy. Yet, no need to watch your friends suffer or settle for social norms. Kiss the wounds of a warped value system, a torture-state where worthiness is desperately sought nod by nod. Worthiness is not a decision....you are worthy because you're a giant nature-toy that can do all these remarkable things! A mass of vibrating atoms, smiling, thinking, breathing, loving...just being alive gives you dignity. When the outside world doesn’t make sense...turn yourself on, let your lights flash - you’re a miracle with nothing to prove.
"At what point will it become intellectually embarrassing to deny the existence of UFO’s ?" This is a question I heard in a lecture hall of occultists, all ready for materialism to be over. All ready for the world to recognize that our 5 senses suck. You too, may be feeling the need to break through the coarseness of your simple impressions, but why ? Might the physical world be a perfect reflection of the unfathomable one ? As above, so below. May you know the existence of “higher realms” by looking closer at your common observations. If you want to know what god-stuff is, look at yourself, how your own body breathes, look at how a tree pulls in carbon, how a chair is glued together, it’s all a corresponding map.
