I sit here writing on the desk I plan to dive under when the earth splits open.
An emergency kit nearby (just a bag full of gauze).
After the perpetual WTF of Virgo season, any variant of an end-of-times drill feels appropriate. Yet, as the world dissolves into a pile of senseless goo, we must not lose touch with the greatest act of dissolution: LOVE. How euphoric to dissolve into love. Sure, some might say it's even dangerous. With Mars in Libra and Venus in Scorpio this month >> we bravely lean into our entanglements, discovering both the gifts and monsters of our interpersonal bonds.
As Mercury in Libra goes retrograde Sept 27 - Oct 18, we deepen our love by first confronting the shadowy partner within...all those monsters we reject (and project) in ourselves. Additionally, we may come to terms with how wired we are for relational rewards and all the ways we internally betray ourselves to be *something good* for others. What would it be like to aim for intimacy and not power or charm ?
Intimacy is letting ourselves share vulnerable thoughts, letting ourselves confess the thing that is messy, the thing that exposes us, that is scary to say (like setting a boundary). Intimacy starts with admitting the truth, and ends with someone holding space for it. When we show up for ourselves and our relationships this way >> we help each other become whole.
To Libra seasons dismay, being human is not always pretty, not always clean, never any one (or two) thing(s). The fall equinox (Sept 22) is a perfect balance of light and dark for only a wee moment, before night force grows lopsided. Perhaps true balance is meeting eye to eye and finding a third place together, maybe a place we've never been before...a place where we co-survive this as the monsters that we are.
