MERCURY SQUARE SATURN: ELECTIONS, WAITING, SAVE DEMOCRACY
I've never had endurance for waiting. Whether it's creeping my car forward at the stop light or stewing with anger at a slow-as-hell-to-get-ready boyfriend. But, now that election season has turned us all into tomb raiders, ducking giant boulders and spinning blades right before getting under a door just as it closes -- waiting doesn't seem so bad.
With stakes so high, I pray that we serve a decisive blow - though as we scramble past the poison darts, snakes, invisible bridges, false floors - election results may churn out slow-mo, if not be obstructed all together. Likewise, Mercury, the planet of communication now retrograde (since Oct 13) will station direct in a dead lock square to Saturn, the planet of delays, on Nov 3rd.
We must vote and demand that every vote is counted, we must haunt the government with the truth - even if it means living in our halloween ghost costumes for the rest of the year. We all live in a society of immediacy, overnight shipping sex and chocolate or chasing our self worth by churning out achievements. But waiting to get what we want is not a waste of time -- actually, there's nothing more that helps us become ourselves...

This month is full of surprises and reversals, and over and over we must learn to land on our feet, to keep recommitting to the deeper truth about ourselves — voting is not the end all be all of political participation and with Mars STILL retrograde (until Nov 13), we must be willing to hold our ground, as we wait for everyone's voice to be counted...we've never been more interconnected, more capable of defining our collective hopes for the future, more equipped to become who we are.
